Bert & Vanessa (sneak peak)

Wednesday, April 27th, 2011

THE glamour meets country themed wedding in Coonabarabran, NSW, Stargazing capital of Australia. There’s probably nothing else to do there. Until now.

Just thought i’d add a quick tip for some of the newer photographers reading this on how I did something. The last shot was really tough. I wanted to show the stars, and the light in the tent, but I also wanted to show the top of the tent. There was no light falling on the top, so I did a 30 second exposure then ran around like a mad man popping the flash off manually. There was probably 20 or 30 flashes the roof up a little. I want to do more of this. So much fun!

Miranda & Paul. (another sneak peak)

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

I saw the sun. In Brisbane. For the first time. In years.

I ate lentils, eggs and veges. I lost more weight. Down from 117.8kg to around 110kg in less than 3 weeks. I also found out i’m severely allergic to eggs. More lentils and vegetables for me.

There’s a crazy announcement coming on the 1st of May 2011. Months of hard work has gone into this.

I photographed Miranda & Paul’s Wedding in Brisbane. It was crazy. I’ll show you some photos.

How about you? What’s news?

There was so much fun to be had. From Kelly & Richards baby who will now have happy memories of mammories, to the epic dancing that was enjoyed. Thank you all for having such a great time with me. Let’s do it again!

Central Coast Wedding (Emma & Kurt)

Tuesday, January 4th, 2011

Emma & Kurt were married recently in the central coast on the 10th of December. Smack bang in the middle of my honeymoon :-)

In the morning, we met at Bells at Killcare, which is one of the most incredible hotels i’ve ever seen. The girls were all ready and were looking gorgeous! I instantly knew it was a wedding that I should have brought my single mates to. The beautiful flowers were done by Mark from Wamberal Florist and hair by Chelsea at Erina Hairport.
Make-up was by Kylie at Lips & Lashes in Bateau Bay The wedding was held at the Holy Cross Catholic Parish in South Kincumber by Emmas cousin, Pastor Kevin Sheehan. Kurts suit is from Country Road and Emma’s dress was a Pronovius from Fashions by Farina. The reception was held at Still Water Restaurant in Davistown I’d like to give Still Water restaurant an extra special plug. I often work really really long days, and you get to the reception and you want to take a moment to have a drink and eat something. At a lot of reception venues I find that they treat the photographer as a second class citizen. Recently at a wedding I was told during cocktail hour that they would “feed the people first”. That sucks. Anyhow, Still Water restaurant were nothing like this. They looked after me like a king, and I truly appreciated it. Thank you.

My photographer buddy David Robertson also came along for the ride. You can see his take clicking here.

I’m trying a few new things in this post, giving credit to some of the vendors involved as well as having a more story board feel. What are your thoughts?

Honeymoon in fiji

Saturday, December 11th, 2010

With 3 1/2 hours sleep here I am at the international airport, about to board a plane to Fiji. Catherine and I were married 7 days ago and we’re off to enjoy a lovely week away! I don’t plan on having my phone on at all. Total week off!
Our wedding was wonderful and I can’t wait to share photos of our wedding in Armidale with you!
For now, it’s time to chillax!
